Capitalization is when the sum total of all the securities of a corporation over a longer period of time, is recognized. This includes the company's debt, profit, and fixed assets.
Fixed assets are considered to be those that will not depreciate short term. More technically, the securities might include debentures, common stock, preferred stock, bonds, and surplus.
Market Capitalization, also called 'Market Cap' for short, is the total value of outstanding shares for the Underlying. Market Cap describes the value of the company or the size of an ETF's assets under management.
